Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, herbivore (associated flora: Cassia eremophila A.Cunn. ex Vogel [FABACEAE] Butter Bush (on foliage); Eucalyptus sp. [MYRTACEAE] Gum Tree (on foliage)), volant.

Larva: wood-borer (associated flora: Eucalyptus rudis Endl. [MYRTACEAE] Flooded Gum; Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh. [MYRTACEAE] River Red Gum).

Extra Ecological Information

McMillan (1950a, 1950b) reported this species breeding in Eucalyptus rudis; this was cited later by Hawkeswood & Peterson (1982). "Adults collected on leaves of Acacia sp. (Fabaceae)" (Levey 2012: 53)
