Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, herbivore, volant.

Larva: wood-borer.

Extra Ecological Information

Williams & Williams (1983) recorded this species from Daviesia latifolia, Dillwynia retorta, D. sericea, Jacksonia scoparia, Phyllota phylicoides, Pultenaea brunioides, P. elliptica (Fabaceae) and Leptospermum sp. (Myrtaceae); Hawkeswood (1988) recorded adults and larvae (as cuprifera) from Pultenaea villosa; Hawkeswood (1990) recorded Bossiaea eriocarpa (Fabaceae) and Leptospermum brevipes; Hawkeswood (1993) summarized the biology and hosts; LeBreton & Hawkeswood (1993) listed Gahnia erythrocarpa; Cowie (2001) recorded M. propinqua portei from Dillwynia spp. "and other bush peas".
