Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, herbivore (associated flora: Corymbia tessellaris (F.Muell.) K.D.Hill & L.A.S.Johnson [MYRTACEAE] Carbeen, Manna Gum, Moreton Bay Ash (on leaves); Acacia calamifolia Sweet ex Lindl. [FABACEAE] Reed-leaf Wattle (on leaves)), volant.

Larva: wood-borer (associated flora: Acacia sophorae (Labill.) R.Br. [FABACEAE] Coastal Wattle; Acacia mucronata Willd. ex H.L.Wendl. [FABACEAE] Narrow-leaf Wattle; Acacia dealbata Link [FABACEAE] Silver Wattle).

Extra Ecological Information

Turner & Hawkeswood (1995) recorded larvae of this species infesting Acacia dealbata; Cowie (2001) listed it from A. dealbata and Eucalyptus viminalis.
