Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, herbivore (associated flora: Corymbia tessellaris (F.Muell.) K.D.Hill & L.A.S.Johnson [MYRTACEAE] Carbeen, Manna Gum, Moreton Bay Ash), volant.

Larva: wood-borer (associated flora: Nothofagus moorei (F.Muell.) Krasser [NOTHOFAGACEAE] Antarctic Beech; Corymbia tessellaris (F.Muell.) K.D.Hill & L.A.S.Johnson [MYRTACEAE] Carbeen, Manna Gum, Moreton Bay Ash; Ceratopetalum apetalum D.Don [CUNONIACEAE] Coachwood, Scented Satinwood; Ceratopetalum apetalum D.Don [CUNONIACEAE] Coachwood, Scented Satinwood (adults recorded emerging); Pinus radiata D.Don [PINACEAE] Insignis Pine; Doryphora sassafras Endl. [ATHEROSPERMATACEAE] Sassafras).

Extra Ecological Information

Williams (1985) recorded the emergence of this species from dying branches of Nothofagus moorei (Fagaceae) and Doryphora sassafras (Monimiaceae); Cowie (2001) listed it from Eucalyptus viminalis.
