Introduction

The distribution of this species will need to be determined after unidentified material of the genus has been identified. The type locality is in southeastern Queensland but there are specimens which may be this species from other localities in Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

General coloration brown; costal margin of tegmen yellowish. Head nearly as long as the rest of the body, parallel-sided except at the apex, where it is circular in outline with a dorsal basin-like depression and is curved upwards. Pronotum with a median ridge and a pair of lateral ridges in alignment with the eyes. Tegmen long and narrow. Length ♂ 9 mm, of head 4 mm (Evans 1966).
