Introduction

This species, which is normally bright golden yellow in life, is known from the wet tropics of North Queensland and from New Caledonia. It is quite distinctive in the Australian fauna with elongate antennae which reach well beyond the apices of the tegmina.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Pale golden yellow, tegmina appendix and underside paler. Eyes dark, and a small dark spot at base of appendix. Length 9 mill. (Kirkaldy 1906).
