Introduction
This is a very distinctive but quite variable species. The two lateral pronotal processes are expanded apically to varying degrees, being anywhere from slightly bulbous at the tip to being expanded laterally so that the inner margins of the two processes meet in the centreline (the images provided here show both extremes). The species is reasonably common in coastal eastern mainland Australia from SE Queensland to the Sydney basin of New South Wales.
