Diagnosis

Head triangular, lateral borders sinuous. Prothorax rising vertically from the base, the dorsum appears to divide into two long anteriorly inclined horns which are enlarged toward the apex rounded on the top (not truncated), the inner angles produced in triangular acuminate spines, the surface reticulated; the posterior process is much shorter than the tegmina and sinuate. Tegmina with two discoidal cells, the second petiolate, furnished with a transverse venule between two ulnar veins, near base. Wings with four apical cells. Legs very slightly flattened (Goding 1903).

Median pronotal process long, narrow and almost straight. Lateral pronotal processes, although highly variable, are thick, diverging, apically enlarged, with an outwardly directed spine on outer side. Segments 1 and 3 of hind tarsi of equal length. Anal vein 2A unusually straight (Day 1999).

Day (1999) provided a comprehensive redescription of the genus.
