Introduction

Motomura, Last & Johnson (2008) reviewed Liocranium and separated Liocranium praepositum into two species, reinstating Liocarnium pleurostigma as the species from the Torres Strait (QLD) to Exmouth Gulf (WA) and leaving L. praepositum as the east QLD coast species.

Extra Distribution Information

Following reassessment of Liocranium by Motomura et al. (2008), L. praepositum appears to be restricted to the east coast of QLD between approximately 18 and 28 degrees South. Occurrences from the Torres Strait and west appear to be L. pleurostigma; tropical

Australian Endemic.
