Ningaloo Reef, WA (22°33'S, 113°E) to Sydney, NSW (33°53'S, 151°17'E), also Rowley Shoals (17°16'S, 119°20'E) and Scott Reef (14°03'S, 121°46'E) WA, and Ashmore Reef, Timor Sea (12°08'S, 123°11'E), most records from northern Australia are based on observations and some of these could represent similar species of Leptojulis; tropical, Indo-west Pacific.
