Diagnosis
In lateral view carapace small, subreniform, smooth, greenish or yellowish, valves subequal, dorsal margin convex, ventral margin inflexed medially, anterior margin more broadly rounded than posterior, valves height slightly more than half valve length. In dorsal view, elliptical. Internally, inner lamellae broad anteriorly and posteriorly, inner margin regularly curved, vestibule large, line of concrescence following outer margin, marginal pore canals short, fairly numerous, normal pore canals open and simple. Antennula 7-segmented. Caudal ramus whip-like.
