Introduction

This species is known from coastal and inland areas of southeastern mainland Australia and from southern Western Australia. It is only separable from other plain coloured members of the genus by features of the male genitalia.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: parenchyma feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Externally indistinguishable from Kahaono pallida Evans but smaller. Differing from K. pallida by the aedeagus devoid of processes and by very small abdominal apodemes. Length ♂ 3.15–3.2 mm, ♀ 3.6–3.9 mm (Dworakowska 1972).
