Introduction

This fairly small plain species is known mainly from eastern Australia although records exist from Darwin, Northern Territory (the type locality) and Adelaide, South Australia.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: parenchyma feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Small, pale, with vertex produced in the middle and tip of forewing pointed. Ends of apical veins in forewing infuscated. Subgenital plate like that in K. pallida Evans. Pygophore side provided with numerous thin microsetae at its hind part. Aedeagus short, tubular, arcuated, gonopore dorsal, shifted away from tip. Length ♂ 2.3–2.4 mm (Dworakowska 1972).
