Introduction

This species, which tends to be a little darker than others of the genus, is found along the coastal areas of New South Wales and southeastern Victoria.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: xylem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Face of head orange, the anteclypeus and the longitudinal stripes on the frontoclypeus black. Apex of head with a circular black marking. Pronotum and scutellum orange with black markings. Scutellum orange, lateral corner black. Tegmen bluish black with a narrow yellowish stripe along the costal margin. Length ♀, 7 mm (Evans 1966).
