Introduction
A highly cryptic and rarely observed endemic Australian genus. Idiotropiscis has been widely treated as a subgenus of Acentronura (e.g. Dawson 1984, 1985; Stewart 2015). We follow Kuiter (2004, 2009; see also Teske & Beheregaray 2009) in treating the genus as valid but acknowledge that further work is required to confirm the status of Idiotropiscis.
