Diagnosis

Carapace small with prominent rostrum and small backward-projecting caudal process. First antenna: endopod in female 1- or 2-segmented, in male 3-segmented. Fifth limb: tooth of 2nd exopodal segment of adult female and juv. Male and female without sabrelike prolongation. Furca: each limb with 5 or 6 claws. Rod-shaped organ elongate.
