Introduction
The identity and status of this subspecies from Queensland needs to be determined by examination of the type material which is from Townsville, Queensland. Lallemand (1963) gave the type locality as "Torouville". Distant (1906) also described a colour variant whose status and identity also needs to be examined. Nagai & Porion (1996) listed E. doddi as a new synonym of E. obscurata but, without any evidence presented, this synonymy is not accepted here.
