Introduction
Members of the tribe Diploprionini are found worldwide on coral reefs. Relationships within the tribe are discussed by Baldwin & Smith (1998), who recognised three genera and five species. All genera and three species are known from Australia. Some workers place the tribe with the Grammistini in the subfamily Grammistinae. We follow Nelson et al. (2016) in retaining the group separate. Maximum size for the tribe is 25 cm.
