Species Dinocephalia cyaneipennis (Blackburn, 1893)

Distribution

States

New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria

Note that conversion of the original AFD map of states, drainage basins and coastal and oceanic zones to IBRA and IMCRA regions may have produced errors. The new maps will be reviewed and corrected as updates occur. The maps may not indicate the entire distribution. See further details below.

Extra Ecological Information

Froggatt (1894) recorded this species breeding in small, rounded galls on the branches of Casuarina distyla. Hawkeswood (1978) listed adults from foliage of C. torulosa and Williams & Williams (1983) recorded it from C. distyla, C. cunninghamiana and Leptospermum flavescens; Hawkeswood & Peterson (1982) repeated Froggatt's record and added an adult from C. torulosa; Turner & Hawkeswood (1994) summarized the known biological data; Cowie (2001) recorded this species from Dillwynia spp. and "other bush peas.".
