Comment: Musgrave (1927) had the sexes the wrong way around, based on the registration numbers on the specimens (Constant 2010).
Introduction
This species is one of the largest Australian fulgorids and is distinctively coloured. Nothing is known of its biology. Constant (2010) suggests that its distribution may follow the Great Dividing Range along eastern Queensland.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
The species is immediately recognized by the following combination of characters: (1) frons pale yellow to red with 4 black spots on disc, (2) hind wings with base red, (3) abdominal tergites 3 to 8 bright orange, (4) tegmina with numerous black-brown spots, with base rosy red and with apex hyaline (Constant 2010).
