Desudaboides fuscomaculata Musgrave, 1927 by original designation.
Introduction
This genus was monotypic until Constant (2010) added four new species from Queensland, NE New South Wales and the Northern Territory. The genus is endemic to Australia.

Diagnosis
Head, including eyes, as broad as pronotum, anterior margin convex, the margins strongly ridged; disk glabrous; face broader than long, longer than clypeus, its base convex and extending well in front of eyes, the lateral margins not parallel, sinuate and slightly widened at the base, medially tricarinate, carinations wider anteriorly than posteriorly; clypeus broader than long; rostrum extending as far as hind coxae. Mesonotum tricarinate and medially a little longer than the head and pronotum together; posterior tibiae with three spines. Tegmina more than three times as long as broad, the apices pointed; wings broader and shorter than tegmina (Musgrave 1927).
The genus is characterized by the following combination of characters: (1) head as broad as pronotum; (2) frons broader than long and with lateral margins sinuate, longer than the clypeus; (3) clypeus broader than long; (4) vertex excavate; (5) mesonotum tricarinate; (6) tegmina at least three times longer than broad, roundly pointed apically; (7) clavus open with vein A1+A2 short and ending in sutural margin; (8) hind wings shorter and broader than tegmina (Constant 2010).
