Species Craterocephalus amniculus Crowley & Ivantsoff, 1990

Darling Hardyhead, Darling River Hardyhead

Introduction

Specimens collected from the upper Hunter River may not be from a permanently established population, or may represent an undescribed species (see Crowley & Ivantsoff 1990). Adams et al. (2011) found evidence of two distinct (northern and southern) forms within the Darling River system, which probably represent separate species.
