Off Lizard Island, QLD and offshore reefs of the Coral Sea from Osprey Reef (13°53'S, 146°32'E) south to Flinders Reef (17°52'S, 148°30'E) and east to Coringa-Herald Cays (ca. 17°05'S, 149°50'E) and Lihou Reefs (17°21'S, 151°46'E), QLD, possibly also along Great Barrier Reef and south as far as Saumarez Reefs (21°51'S, 153°31'E); tropical, south-west Pacific (east to Pitcairn Group).
