Diagnosis

Large size (more than 3 mm), smooth or pseudopunctate shell with broad selvage in both valves and placed far away from outer edge. Distal segment of maxillular palp elongate; mandibular palp with alpha seta smooth and as long as penultimate segment, beta seta shorter and tufted, gamma seta slightly longer than distal segment and pilose on its distal half. Caudal ramus with both claws and setae present.
