South-west of Rowley Shoals, WA (18°23'S, 116°48'E), east of Osprey Reef, QLD (13°49'E) and from off Tuncurry, NSW, (32°07´S, 153°09´E), also south of Christmas Island; tropical, Atlantic Indo-west-central Pacific.
