Introduction

Although described from SW Western Australia, this species is well known in south eastern Australia on saltbush, Atriplex spp (Chenopodiaceae). A single record from the Northern Territory needs to be confirmed.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: parenchyma feeder (associated flora: Atriplex sp. [CHENOPODIACEAE]).

 

Diagnosis

General coloration (spirit specimens) light brownish. Anterior margin of crown bluntly angularly produced. Length ♂ 3.9 mm, ♀ 4.4 mm (Evans 1966).
