     Holotype BMNH 1925.7.22.73 (collection 'Endeavour', no. 2860), Queensland coast
    Comment: Type figured in Norman, J.R. 1926. A report on the flatfishes (Heterosomata) collected by the F.I.S. "Endeavour," with a synopsis of the flatfishes of Australia and a revision of the subfamily Rhombosoleinae. Biological Results Endeavour v. 5 (pt 5): 219-308 [290, fig.12].

Shark Bay, WA (24°37'S, 113°17'E), to Moreton Bay, QLD (27°15'S), records from WA based on specimens in Western Australian Museum recently re-identified by J. Randall; tropical.
