Introduction

The Australian population is widely separated from populations in the north-west Pacific and genetic studies may show that there two distinct species.

Burnett River, QLD (24°46'S) to Exmouth Gulf, WA (21°47'S), and TAS; temperate, disjunct (north-west Pacific and South Africa).
