Introduction

This species has been considered as possibly identical to Archamia macropterus (Cuvier, 1828), which is often misspelled as Archamia macroptera. Fraser (2013) recognised that species as Taeniamia macropterus. That species is similar in coloration and Australian records of that species appear to be based on misidentifications of Archamia bleekeri.
