Subtribe Anthaxomorphina Holynski, 1993

Introduction

The Anthaxomorphina Holynski is a monotypic subtribe found throughout tropical regions of the Old World: Africa, Southeast Asia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, and northern Australia. Anthaxomorphus Deyrolle was placed in the Aphanisticini by Cobos (1979), but moved to a new subtribe by Holynski (1993). A checklist of the world was published by Bellamy (1987). The single Australian species was described by Williams & Weir (1992).
