Comment: The original holotype data is as follows:- ♂ collected in Sydney, NSW and held at Universität von Hamburg Zoologisches Institut und Zoologisches Museum. As it was apparently destroyed, the Neotype was designated by Winterton in 2011.Subsequent designation references:

Diagnosis
Antennae yellow basally, dark distally, scape and pedicel thicker than in other species; occiput glossy black; fore and mid femora yellow, hind femur black; male abdomen with extensive, siver velutum.
