Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: Jacksonia thesioides A.Cunn. ex Benth. [FABACEAE] Broombush (on flowers); Eucalyptus drepanophylla F.Muell. ex Benth., 1867 [MYRTACEAE] Grey Ironbark (on flowers); Corymbia polycarpa (F.Muell.) K.D.Hill & L.A.S.Johnson [MYRTACEAE] Long-Fruited Bloodwood (on flowers)), volant.

Larva: wood-borer.

Extra Ecological Information

Brooks (1948) recorded this species from flowers of Jacksonia thesioides; Hawkeswood (1990) recorded adults on leaves and stems of Eucalyptus drepanophylla and E. polycarpa.
