Ecological Descriptors

Adult: predator, terrestrial.

 

Diagnosis

Length 1.6-1.8 mm. Body with short, sparse appressed setae, denser on abdomen. Head wider than pronotum; ventrolateral margins beneath eyes slightly angulate; with wide C-shaped setose sulci splitting ventrolateral carinae from mandibular bases to ventral margins of eyes. Male eyes with about 20 facets; with head vertex broadly convex, medially flattened and sloping anterior to eyes, with median recurved tubercle at anterior margin between antennal insertions. Metasternum broadly and longitudinally impressed through length, with tufts of thick curved setae at apical margin of metasternum adjacent to inner margins of metacoxae. Female eyes with about 20 facets.
