Extra Distribution Information
Cooktown district, QLD (15°28'S); tropical, known only from the 69 mm holotype, similar to, and possibly conspecific, with Acanthostracion quadricornis (Linnaeus), a species from the tropical Atlantic, also occurring along the south-eastern coast of Africa and questionably reported from Sumatra.
Known only from type locality.
Australian Endemic.
