Diagnosis

\'ertex piceous with a thin median longitudinal testaceous line, basal half testaceous with two big piceous spots, a short transverse testaceous line on middle of apical half. Face piceous, frons with curved concentric lines on each side of the middle, irregular apically. Legs mostly piceous, fore and middle tibiae testaceous, suffused irregularly with piceous. Tegmina testaceous subopaque, with narrow piceous margins to the veins on both sides. Abdomen above piceous with about 5 rows of testaceous spots, below mostly piceous. Greatest width of vertex about the same as the length, vertex flattish, nearly rectangled apically, a little depressed basally. \'ertex and frons acute-angled in profiile. Tegmina reaching to about half the length of the insect, obliquely transverse apically. Length 3 5/8 mm. (Kirkaldy 1907).

Macropterous or brachypterous. Black or very dark brown with distinctive cream striping on frontoclypeus and distinct longitudinal and transverse markings on vertex and anteriorly on pronotum. Ventral surface and legs dark brown with cream markings. Tegmen testaceous along veins and in centre of cells, otherwise broadly dark brown. Male Genitalia: aedeagus with proximal pair of aedeagal processes directed towards hind edge of shaft, barely reaching or reaching just beyond base of distal pair of processes. Both pairs more or less parallel to shaft in posterior view (Fletcher 2004).
