Introduction
The genus Caesioscorpis has sometimes been placed into the family Caesioscorpididae, apparently without description (Hutchins & Thompson 1983; Hutchins & Swainston 1986), but provisionally placed in the Serranidae by Paxton et al. (1989). Parenti & Randall (2020) named the Caesioscorpididae as a new family, with description.
