Introduction

This species was described from NE Tasmania but may be distributed more widely on the mainland. Day (1999) recognised a number of undescribed species of the genus and a species level review of the genus would determine the true distribution of this species.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

General coloration dark brown with areas of white pilosity. Tegmen vitreous, except basally where it is brown; veins brown. Length ♂ 4 mm (Evans 1966).
