Introduction
Only the type species from Tasmania is named but Day (1999) recognised three undescribed species from New South Wales and Queensland. The species of this genus are immediately recognisable by the two vertical processes on the median longitudinal process of the pronotum. Day (1999) recorded Maireana microphylla (Moq.) Paul G.Wilson (Chenopodiaceae) as a possible host and noted that the known species were mostly found in the lower rainfall, inland parts of eastern Australia.
