Holotype WAM P.25454–009, Barnett River, central Kimberley, WA.
Paratype(s) AM I.22742–001; WAM P.25454–007; WAM P.25872–006.
Introduction
The species was listed by the IUCN as Endangered in 2019. Calder River populations have been placed in a different species Hypseleotris garawudjirri.
