Genus Hypseleotris Gill, 1863

Introduction

Thacker et al. (2022) discussed relationships and included Kimberleyeleotris in this genus based on genetic studies. Shelley, et al. (2023) also agreed with that placement. Inland species hybridize and hemiclone lineages are known, resulting from the hybridization between some species.
