Melbourne : CSIRO Publishing, Australia xiv 641 pp. [560] (the specific name was incorrectly emended from horii to horiii by Guinot (1976: 119, op. cit.), and this was followed by subsequent authors. The species was named in honour of E. Horii, and Guinot clearly felt that an extra `i' was necessary to latinise his name correctly. Under Recommendation 31A (I.C.Z.N., 2000) a personal species name preferably should be formed in the genitive case, and not as a noun in apposition, in order to avoid possible confusion concerning authorship; however, it is not incorrect to use it as a noun in apposition, as Miyake has apparently done with Zalasius horii. Further, under Article 32.2, `the original spelling of a name is the 'correct original spelling', unless it is demonstrably incorrect as provided in Article 32.5'. Article 32.5 requires clear evidence of an inadvertent error, and states that `incorrect transliteration or latinization … are not to be considered inadvertent errors'. Therefore Z. horii is here returned to its original spelling)
