Introduction

This small dark species is widespread in Australia, particularly in the southeast but it is also known from Darwin, Northern Territory, and locations in SW Western Australia.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Head ochreous, ocelli pink. Pronotum reddish brown. Scutellum dark brown. Tegmen hyaline brown, veins pinkish brown. Thorax and abdomen, ventral surface, and legs ochreous brown. Length 4.5 mm. Head width 1.8 mm (Evans 1936).
