Larva: parasitic.
Diagnosis
Similar to T. simulatus except in the following respects. Haltere knob dark brown at base grading to light brown at apex. Wing membrane in male hyaline except pale orange-brown in costal and subcostal cells and basally, gradually fading into apical hyaline areas; female wing darker, with pale orange-brown infuscation anterobasally from apex of cell bm to apex of R1, fading gradually in more apical portions of wing. Abdominal tergite 2 with black tomentum and hairs except golden tomentum and hairs in anterolateral corners and median patch of golden tomentum on posterior margin; tergite 3 with black hairs and tomentum except golden hairs on lateral margins. Tergites 4–7 with black tomentum on median quarter, remainder with golden tomentum. Male genitalia with apex of epiphallus (Figs 168, 169) with lateral projections small, blunt; medial projection blunt. Apex of epiphallus laterally with medial projection large and recurved, projecting dorsally; lateral projections small. Neck spine absent.
