Larva: parasitic.
Diagnosis
Similar to T. simulatus except in the following respects. Apex of epiphallus (Figs 37, 55) dorsally with lateral projections absent; plate smoothly tapering to sharp medial projection. Apex of epiphallus laterally with medial projection sclerotised, small, blunt and recurved; apical margin distinctive, deeply concave medially, dorsal area developed with proximal projection and large distal flange deeply incurved, ventral area also strongly developed forming overlaying broad flange projecting distally. Ventral hook absent. Neck spines very large, scoop-like, sclerotised flanges extending strongly apically and curved ventrally.
