Ecological Descriptors

Larva: parasitic.

 

Diagnosis

Similar to T. simulatus except in the following respects. Apex of epiphallus (Figs 34, 52) dorsally with lateral projections very small and blunt; plate tapering smoothly to blunt medial projection, basal margin convex. Apex of epiphallus laterally subquadrate; medial projection blunt, sclerotised and recurved; lateral projection developed into flange projecting bluntly from dorsal margin, apical margin rounded. Neck spine sclerotised, developed apically into thin
flange projecting laterally around dorsal plate. Female spermathecal bulb pear shaped, attached to pump by long, narrow, tubule-covered neck.
