Larva: parasitic.

Extra Ecological Information

One adult recorded as emerging from Sceliphron laetum (Sphecidae) near Binnaway, NSW, and the species was bred, in 1904, from a box containing mud nests and some caterpillar nests from Burpengary, south-east Qld.

 

Diagnosis

Similar to T. simulatus except in the following respects. Apex of epiphallus (Figs 28, 46) with lateral projections absent; plate tapering smoothly to poorly sclerotised blunt medial projection. Apex of epiphallus laterally with medial projection small and blunt. Ventral hook large, folded. Neck spine minute. Gonostyli (Fig. 28) with shallowly excavated dorsal surface; apical flange projecting dorsally.
