Larva: parasitic.

 

Diagnosis

Similar to T. simulatus except in the following respects. Tergites 2 and 3 with black hairs and tomentum except posterior margin of tergite 2 with transverse band of white scales and median quarter of posterior margin of tergite 3 with tuft of white scales (Fig. 63). Male genitalia with apex of epiphallus (Figs 27, 45) dorsally with lateral projections absent, medial projection blunt, basal margin convex. Apex of epiphallus laterally with medial projection large and blunt; lateral projection absent, sclerotised portion subtriangular. Neck spine absent.
