Larva: parasitic.
Diagnosis
Similar to T. simulatus except in the following respects. Haltere knob dark brown with apical third cream. Wing membrane divided into two regions; anterobasal half of wing with dark brown-black infuscation; posterior and apical regions of wing hyaline; line of demarcation not distinct (Fig. 16). Male genitalia with apex of epiphallus dorsally with lateral projections well developed, sharp, recurved; plate sharply tapering to blunt medial projection; lateral margins developed into wide rounded flanges projecting laterally around apical plate. Apex of epiphallus (Figs 22, 40) laterally with apical margin distinctly concave, medial projection large, sclerotised and projecting dorsally; lateral projection small, distinctly separated from medial projection. Ventral hook minute and proximally directed. Neck spine absent. Spermathecal bulb elongate pear-shaped, attached to pump by long, narrow neck, sclerotised nodules on pump absent.
