Larva: parasitic.

 

Diagnosis

Similar to T. simulatus except in the following respects. Haltere knob dark brown with apical third cream. Male genitalia with apex of epiphallus (Figs 30, 48) dorsally with lateral projections large, distinctive, rounded lobes; medial projection convex, terminating squarely, dorsal band linear. Apex of epiphallus laterally with medial projection large, sclerotised; lateral projection small. Ventral hook minute, not visible dorsally. Neck spine large, well developed, recurved.
