Introduction

This species, which is found in the far north of Queensland and the Northern Territory, Ceram and southern Papua New Guinea, is very close to T. sinewitensis Knight & Webb from northern Papua New Guinea and New Britain, differing only slightly in the shape of the style and aedeagus. The species is unknown to the compiler.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Yellow to yellowish brown, variably tinged with green dorsally, inner margin of forewing often tinged with brown [possibly entirely green in life]. Head approximately equal in width to pronotum. Male genitalia similar to brunki but aedeagus with shaft more slender, a pair of prominent lobes usually present between shaft and apodeme and gonopore short and not visible in posterior aspect (Knight & Webb 1986).
